Hi Riba,
Is there any chance that you might have copied two sets of the same contours into your user map? Do you have a border style set for your isobaths?

Matt

You were right Matt, there was something wrong with the map.
Tried it again but this time with Atlas version 10.

It might be a silly question, but where can I see of which projects consists my Map?

From a user map? You can't relate those back to a source project, as a UM is just a collection of objects that could come from a range of sources. You should be able to see if you have doubled the same contours by looking in the list of Major Contours (or minor) and scrolling through the items in the list. Each one will become selected in the map as it is selected in the list, so watch out for the same contour becoming selected twice as you scroll down.
Or just create a new map using contours from each project you want in there, just to be sure you are not copying anything over twice (this might be easier).

I have scrolled through the contours and they are not selected twice in the map:( However, I don't have my HDS with me now, but I will try later to create a new map and export it again and see what happens. Maybe it will work out fine:)... I will let you know! Thanks!

Walleye - that's very interesting. So the map looks different depending on the Atlas version? No other changes?

Nope. Tried it again with V12 and then it occured again. Did another try but then with v10 and it was gone. Those were the only changes I made.

hmm.. I wonder if this is unit related, like the old map is cached somewhere in memory and is sometimes being overlaid? You don't have two at5 maps on the same card?

I have indeed several at5 maps on that unit Matt.
The funny thing is, now you mention it, is that I`ve exported the map several times with some changes. Allways as V12 and had no troubles. But suddenly it showed up, so you could have a point with that caching thing.

But now I`m thinking of it, I didn`t reboot the unit after the changes. I just putted the card in when it was on so that maybe is the cause the cache wasn`t flushed.

Just to let you know... I've solved my problem by creating my map all over and now everything is OK :) I must have done something wrong the first time. Matt thanks!

Is there a way to create a rule or set of rules for objects imported into the user maps?

We have a lot of areas that dry due to the 8m tidal movements and I wish to render all of these isobaths in a certain colour. Similarly I would like to have a set palette for particular depth ranges.

Cheers,

Dan.
