I created a map that had 2 locations of sonar logs ,when I look at them they are about a mile apart. I also created a outline ? My question is I notice that the depth on one of the maps didn't show any depth on top of the hump but show all around it ? Are they a reason for this ? see examples

The depth labels are a function of the chart plotter.

More than likely, the line isn't long enough to generate runtime points for that line.

Being new at this not sure what that means I am thinking when I get a chance to go back to the lake I will log over top of it ? or just create 2 maps ?

Relogging will not change those contours not having labels on top of them.

All of the major contour lines will be exported with labels, but the unit itself will decide whether or not to show a label at any given zoom level. In your example, there isn't really enough space to show labels so they are not shown. There is really nothing that can be done to change this for your example.

A chance is to transform the respective lines into points (possible with a GIS application, line shape => point shape). Use this points without icons (= invisible points) and with depth value. Create/edit this shapefile and process single or together with the other RM shape files in the IMC.

If you only have a few lines, you also can set points by hand, than point shape export => point shape edit => IMC.
