We are excited to announce the release of a new standalone sonar viewer application for Lowrance and Humminbird sonar log files, featuring a multi-channel sonar viewer and sidescan display over a world base map.

The sonar viewer uses completely new graphics technology for the sonar and sidescan displays, and is, to some extent, a preview of some of the changes that will be coming to ReefMaster later this year (faster and smoother display of sonar and sidescan data).

The sonar viewer uses the graphics processing unit (GPU) much more directly than ReefMaster currently does, and as a result the minimum system requirements are increased: Windows 7 or later, with hardware support for DirectX10.1. Note that the latter requirement means that the sonar viewer is unlikely to work in virtual machines.

T Good call Trevor - I'm not quite sure what happened there. A new version should be up now on Vimeo, but Youtube vids cannot be replaced "in situ".
