For GPX this is expected behaviour - colours are only supported for a very small subset of icons.
USR6 should work. I just retested on an HDS3 with no problems, but I will try it again on an Elite Ti later. Do you get the same issues with USR 4 or 5?
Did you reimport the data from a saved GPX? Because if so, you will lose colour information for most icons.

Hi Matt,

The last years I use ReefMaster as waypoint manager.
The new Waypoint Manager is a great application and completes the features I wanted to have in RM since I have to manage more than 2.500 waypoints
The problem I have is that I can not import the files I have created in the Waypoint Manager because the ReefMaster does not accept usr.v6 files.
Are you considering in the future integrating Waypoint Manager as part of ReefMaster like Sonar Viewer ?

kind regards
Vassilis

Hi Matt,

For bulk editing waypoints it would help greatly if when sorting by Icon, WTRM would sort by Icon + Color.

Thanks

WTRM does not import Google Earth Paths like Reefmaster does for a Project.
I.E. WTRM will import a GE path with 33 path-segments as 33 individual tracks instead of 1 track with 33 track-segments.

I noticed WTRM allows splitting a track w/track-segments into its individual segments, but you cannot merge. But I would normally use Google Earth to create my tracks w/track-segments.

It would be helpful too if WTRM and Reefmaster would show the number of Track-Points in a track. I have some at 24K track-points.

Yes - the plan is to integrate most, if not all, waypoint manager features into RM3, which I hope will be released before the end of this year.

I figured that splitting tracks is more useful than merging them, as it allows independent deletion and editing of the segments. If you think merging could be useful as well, it is something we can look into. Bear in mind that the Waypoint Manager is supposed to be a relatively simple application for managing assets on a device.

You can see the number of points in a track segment as part of the trail info box, by hovering over the track, either in the map or list views.

Hovering over a track w/track-segments shows the number of track-segments & number of track-points per segment.
Please show total number of track-points for the track. I have tracks with large number of track-segments.
This would be nice in Reefmaster also, maybe more important.

Importance with me would be sorting waypoint icons by Icon(primary) + Color(secondary).

Next would be for WTRM to import KMZ/KML as tracks w/track-segments. Then one could split if desired.

You can sort by icon already by clicking the icon header in the waypoint list view.

Yes. But Lowrance users often designate color of an icon to certain targets. Therefore a red diamond and a green diamond would target different things.

Including color with the icon sort would allow easier bulk editing on that target. Clicking on the icon header result would be grouping like colored icons together allowing one shift-select keystroke.

Users bulk edit targets, targets equal icon&color.

Your program is very close to becoming the best ever tool to manage Lowrance units If not all ready.

Sorting icons by Icon&color and importing Google Earth KMZ/KML path with track-segmentation definitely make it better. IMO.
Please consider these.
Thanks

Sorting by colour as a secondary criteria to icon is a good idea, and we will put that in the next maintenance release.

I'm still not convinced by KML "trail" segments. Google Earth doesn't reallty have a concept of trails or trail segments. GE just has polylines, which can be part of a folder of polylines. Is this what you are referring to? If you want to send an example KML file to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. that might help.

Matt,

KMZ would be a saved Google Earth folder containing multiple GE paths. Normally, submerged creeks, roadbeds, etc.

Examples emailed.
