fjordfisher Offline	No!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only possible with special SD cards (expensive), e. g. Transcend Copy Protection Cards.

I also found something interresting, look like some card can be encripted and will work with the first device it will meet... But don't have more details about that. Do you ?

fvignola Offline	I don't need a bullet proof anti-copy system, just something who will make it harder to copy for an average user... And I need that as soon as possible. It's the only thing I need to complete to put my product on sale. And some map companies are looking to stole my places. But they don't have data yet ( they are waiting for the user to log the data for them).

But You can see the product ID for a 2 GB Card. I#m sure, there is also protection software. But the question is - how secure and expensive is this software, and is it for microSD-/SD-Cards?

fvignola Offline	Can't find any Transcand copy protected card. It's what I was needing... IMC not for commercial use, it's ok. I don't need it to make a beautiful/working map... Software... I'll check into that... If you know some of them, I would be interrested to know...

Anglers want quality maps, so Navico catering to small developers only makes sense. I also have a licensing agreement. I wonder how long it will be until the other sonar companies start providing similar tools?

As a side note, I sometimes find myself taking for granted Reefmaster software...but the whole mapping/analysis/chart creation process is made so much easier because of it....huge value, excellent support, new features being incorporated. A+ in my opinion!
