I spent last year creating what I know is the most accurate map of my favorite lake. I plug the chip into my Lowrance on the boat and have to say I could not be happier! I love Reefmaster, Thanks Matt!!!
But the main reason for it was to use with my Android phone for ice fishing. I even bought a new Samsung S5 to get the best performance from it.
All those rock piles, weedbeds, all carefully marked as waypoints and the depth contours so easy to see. I was gonna catch fish.........until I realize that a map is useless if your phone does not show where you are. Thank you Google Earth, you suck!!
The closest GE gets me is MAYBE 25-30m. Many times 1-2km away. I figured there was a setting or something. Tried High Accuracy, nope. GPS only, nope. I figured my Samsung S5 was defective. So I tried a different GPS app.
I AM WITHIN 1m EVERY TIME!! The accuracy is as good as I could hope for. But there is no way to view MY map with it. Only their offline downloadable maps.
I think I need a different GPS app.

Does anybody have a recommendation for an android app that will allow my to use my RM map, and walk around showing my position on it as I go?? Maybe with very good to excellent accuracy???

Try Custom Maps for Android. It was developed for something completely different, but displays RM-made .kmz quite well, if they are not too big. You do not get all the features, but with a sensible choice of depth colors you see reefs, dropoffs and such very well. Good enough for ice fishing, IMHO.

But a proper RM app would be wonderful!

On my phone I use Locus Maps. It can import maps in a variety of different formats, including KMZ, although I didn't have much luck importing a KMZ, so used MBTiles instead and that worked a charm. Does ReefMaster export MBTiles? I haven't bought Reefmaster yet, but will soon. All my data is from Piscatus and Drdepth, and put through Global Mapper.
Cheers, Mike.

Locus maps can display RM kmz but without colored area and depth values - not good
Locus maps can display RM MBtiles, but i think, the quality is not convincing.

Or i do anything wrong?

RM will export sidescan mosaics in MBTiles, which is useful for QGis etc. RM doesn't export contour map rasters in MBTiles, but if it is useful it could be added.
A mobile viewer is on the schedule!

Well I tried Custom Maps and it will display one version of the map but cannot get it to display the one with waypoints included. It also gets REALLY fuzzy when zoomed in very little. I guess it beats nothing. I have to switch between Custom Maps and an app called GPX Viewer to see waypoints.
It looks AWESOME on GE but as I said, the my GPS location is horrid.......WTH.

Anyone else have a suggestion for a map viewer that will display a map with my location on it???
Don't care about cost.

If they can support AT5 maps this could be an option. http://www.lowrance.com/en-au/Products/Outdoor/ or there is this app for the iphone https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/inavx-marine-navigation/id286616280?mt=8

I use Google Earth with KMZ loader. This almost daily and it works fine. Accuracy 1-2 meter. This on an Apple iPad.

In Australia Charted Waters has an Android/iPhone App that displays At5's, if you sent them a message they may be able to include your maps, I know this as I make the at5's for them. Cheers Phil.
