Wow, amazing.

I am planing to have a 22" Monitor on the Boat,
but only for the PC, not for remote the HDS.

This was a 24" Panel with Android in it, Tablet ore ... ?

meant to put this in a while back, might help someone.

Got an HDS 7 gen 2 touch with lss2 transducer (upgraded from my elite-7) - really pleased with it!

Was going to get the lowrance wifi module to link up with my iPad to get bigger views, but after a bit of research and splicing managed to use a cheap wifi router i had lying about at home. All i had to buy was the Lawrance ethernet cable, cut it in half and splice in an RJ45 connector (to feed into the router). The routers can be bought for a few pounds (have to get one that will power from 12v battery - i used one of those travel wifi routers that take power from usb and use a standard cigarette lighter to usb converter to power it). Cable was a bit pricier as its Lowrance propriety, but all in all, it was a lot cheaper than getting the lowrance wifi module and it works really well with the go free app.

if anyone wants it, i can mail the wiring diagram and photos.

Another cool thing is that NMEA-data is also in the feed. Not sure exactly what sentences though, but it works with a few NMEA-based apps. So when Matt makes the Live-mapping compatible we can get rid of some cables to the PC. ;)
