I am testing the demo version of Reefmaster and running it on my ruggedized Dell laptop.

I set up the Live Data option to use the internal GNSS on my laptop and I can see my location in the bottom right corner of the screen.

I do not have a depth finder connected.

When I select Show Position the boat icon does not move to my current location. Can I not test the Tracks option without a depth finder connected?

Thanks.

If you look in the settings options, live data appears to be looking for NMEA inputs from a comm port. Have you looked at adding a virtual comm port to do this. Search the forum for more info.

P is flashing green, D is red (I don't have a depth finder connected since I'm not at a body of water).

There has never been an issue with the status screen showing my position in the bottom right corner of the screen.

I have 25 years of experience getting geophysical sensors and NMEA 0183 GNSS data to connect to software.

Apparently restarting the program multiple times makes the boat go to the correct location.

Now the issue is when I select Log Live Track that they are always zero duration. Is this because I don't have the depth sounder connected? I don't see an option to start/pause/stop the live track. If it doesn't work it seems that I have to create a new track.
