This year I have spent a lot more time inside so I've been trawling the internet looking for public data to use to make fishing maps. I have been successful in some areas. Recently I found some data on a 250 m grid so I tried to use it in RM2. Here's the result.

Looking at the way RM2 processed the data I suspect their 250 m grid is not very accurate.

250 m grid - this is not a good data quality. But you can increase the max. interpolation (by numbers input more than 250 m). The result will be graphical better but not in the reality.

Looks like 250m is the maximum for Interpolation value in RM..

Yep, you are right - it could be entered manually. But 250 is the maximum if click that little up-arrow.

Agree - greater than 250 metres does not make a great map. The exercise has given me a few new areas to have a look at. It has also proven the value of RM.

I just have to decide if trying to incorporate the public data with my sonar log data is worth the effort.

If the data is regular, you can just upsample it with some form of interpolation.
