I tried them in OpenCPN now, that did not work. I have also tried to unzip them with winzip and expresszip, no luck with neither.

Any more ideas? :)

We need a chatroom on this forum Matt. :)

Fire up hexedit and have a look at the headers. It'll at least give you an idea if they are compressed or encrypted files.
Apart from that - nope !

The chatroom is a GOOD idea.

I got my hand on a Navionics card for Raymarine. This is what was on it.

I took a look at my own Navionics Gold (for Lowrance), and it has the exact same files. I`m guessing ugc is the user community stuff, while nv2 is the original vector.

I spoke with Raymarine in Norway today. Their Lighthouse-maps are based on S57, and then run through software not that different from the IMC from Navico. This compresses the original files, and encrypts them. (If I understood it correctly.)

I have asked if they would consider following Navicos example and make their tools public. I belive they are actually considering doing this, I guess time will show. :)

Add Lowrance Elite-TI TotalScan 5/7/9/12.

I've used the TotalScan 5 for data collection, and the depth & side-scan both work well. Some SKU numbers come with less expensive transducers that only do (I think) HDI equivalent.
