Make two parallel passes of the area to be surveyed separately
Open the SL2 file with RM and edit as need.

Export it with RM as ESRI GRID.

Open ESRI GRID with Global mapper
Create point features at elevation grid, assign points to it as spot sounding

Export as CSV
Open the CSV with excel and edit the ELEVATION column by removing decimals to need
Open the CSV already corrected with RM or GM or any other soft.

Here you can see a 3D made with GM

Multibeam Soundings

I love Reef Master !

I hope you like it

Multibeam is a specific type of sonar that uses narrow beams to identify the surface depth at many different angles.

I would say that this is a grid of pseudo spot soundings.

That said, you can cut out a lot of steps by converting the grid to a shapefile input and then feeding it through the IMC's Attribute Mode. That mode has a multi level decluttering method baked in to the advanced settings where it adjusts the upper limit of a feature based on it's proximity to all other features.

Ale,

Interesting application. I am a little unclear on process. Is the grid being created (interpolated) from the 2 tracks of point depths? Or is there some trick that is converting the side scan data into depth points in between the two depth tracks?

Method extracts a grid interpolated from soundings by Reefmaster and post processes through 3rd party applications.

The limitation of input in this application is the same as the limitation of input in Reefmaster.
