You all know the table with indexes in the IMC Manual, page 21. But what is the relevancy for my unit?
In appendix are 3 small AT5, which show the index in dependence with sight height/wide of the scale bar in unit.
With the next zoom Level a point with U_LIMIT-number, appears or disappears for the next point. So You can find Your best U_LIMIT or L_LIMIT value, if needed.

U-LIMIT is 1 ... 34, L_LIMIT = U_LIMIT - 1

You can see in which sight height Your points, lines or areas begin to appears/disappears.

E. g.: You have a lake with many lines/Points, all with the same U_LIMIT value. If the U_LIMIT high, the lines/points are blind. If You zoom, the lines/points better appears. But You can optimize Your charts (sample):

1. A point with U_LIMIT 30 or more to find the lake without GPS (e. g. at home)
2. Areas with next level, e.g. 15 ... 20 (in dependence of its size)
3. lines/rest of the points, so that these appears, only when You zoom to 1 km bar width and
nearer.

Many commercial charts contain this elements.
