Nice one Luke. I've increased the maximum allowed size for image upload to the forum, so 3D shots will look a bit better from now on..

Here is a shot from the new (pre-beta) version. We have tidied up the edges of the map, so it looks better now in both the contour and 3D views (no more "blockiness"). This map is with a custom palette also.

That´s nice :-)

I am interested in eliminating the Space to and not overwrite interpolated date over/til Iland & shore Borders.
So as i see in your example it looks like this is now better handled.
Or did you adjust it like "Is Boundary" and not "Show Boundary in map" ?
And if i let the Boundary show in map i still see space or overwriting from the interpolated Data ?

...But anyway, it looks really nice, Thank you.

Luke,
The boundaries aren't shown anyway in the 3D view, but they are thinner now in the 2D view also - see the snapshot below. The boundary is a bit jaggy here, but that's just the way it has been drawn - its as smooth as you draw it now, and no more pixellated edges :)

Here a small lake.
You get a really good look at the various hot spots at different depths.

Paulchen,

Is there any possibility that you could you post a 2d image of the tracklogs with no interpolation ?

The reason I ask is that there are some long thin structures that may be actual structure (glacial?), or may simply be tracklogs that are uncorrected for vertical offset or changed lake level. It would be very interesting to see what is causing these, and if RM can allow adjustment.

It would be good if a scale could appear on these 3d images Matt ?

all the best

hi,
there is a lake which was dredged.
These tracks are so mountains under water!
The tracks come from the offset of the excavator.

Nice map Peter - Trevor is right, the ridges do look odd but your explanation makes sense. We get a lot of lakes that are ex gravel-pits in the UK.
It's not uncommon to see similar effects from a track that has not been tide or lake-level adjusted - but it is easy to make these adjustments if required in the track edit window.
