A property that used to be an old gravel and sand pit has been converted by the local township into a 220 acre nature reserve. The lake is approximately 40 acres in size, and was a result of soil extraction proceeding below the ground water line, so it's fed only from underground. In order for the non-profit committee to make educated decisions on maintenance, fishing rules, etc we decided to perform a depth survey of the lake. A Lowrance HDS9 was loaned to us by
TackleDirect, who's headquartered here in the township. Other donations from local residents included a loaned boat, and
