Luke,
You can connect the NMEA083 data cables from the unit to a serial connector (only 2 wires to connect).
Connect this serial connector to a serial-bluetooth converter.
If your notebook has no bluetooth on board, you can use an USB-Bluetooth device.
Establsh a bluetooth connection between your unit and the notebook. Start live mapping within Reefmaster.
Hi Danny, yes i know this way, but by using an external BT Sender to establish a BT Connection to the PC,
it call this as the old school way :-))
Currently there is no way to connect the Gen III unit's internal Bluetooth to a PC and use the data, is this right?
I am more interested in the way like skinee told.

If you have a Lowrance unit with wifi you can access their data for free. They have a tier 1 and tier 2 free license with a pdf document to explain how to grab the data.
But i knew this also and wifi is not Bluetooth. :-)
I thought more in Bluetooth and i don't think that Bluetooth was also described in the Tier1 & 2, wasn't it?
Is there a way to connect the internal Bluetooth from the Unit to a PC and use data,
