Would there be a disadvantage to adding a Date/Time field to the survey points file?
( Lat , Long , Meters ) => ( Lat , Long , Meters , Date_Time )

For post processing of data to do tidal corrections it would be 'the Bee's Knees', I'm thinking.

A while back 'hermes' posted a list of maybe features and #7 seemed to be just this thing 'timestamp', and Matts response was that is was doable.

FeatureRequests::nice to haves (circa Aug 2014)
hermes:
7. Might be useful to include the aquired time on the track point pop up window (presently only depth, lat and long)
Matt:
7 Yes - we could do this..

This is the first lesson ye should learn: There is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, it doesn't behoove any of us to speak evil of the rest of us.

Hi George,
No downside to including timestamps in the CSV export, and we will add it soon.
Hermes was (I think/hope!) asking for timestamps to be shown when an individual data point is selected in the track view, and this feature was added as part of v1.8.

Sorry for late reply, been travelling then on holiday!

Yes matt, that was exactly what I was hoping to get and v1.8 came up with the goods! Helped immensely to check correct tidal corrections had been applied - along with the actual correction. I guess time stamps with csv exports might also be useful.... But for me the displayed time was perfect for my needs!
