I prefer iMac, MacBook. Are there plans or is it possible for OSX support?

Realistically, I can't see this happening in the short or even medium term. It is a big job, and the business case isn't there at the moment.
We do have a number of users that use ReefMaster very successfully using Parallels or similar on Macs. For the moment, that is the only way.

thanks,
Matt

Hi NCFatboy.

I have a mackbook pro and i have been as you asking for support for osx over the years until i installed Parallels 9 and got windows 7 installed as a virtual os.

It works just as any other computer would, i can drag and drop between osx and windows without a problem.
I would strongly recommend that you look into this.

Best regards
Zanders

There is a free product for mac osx called WINEBOTTLE that runs any windows program directly on the desktop as if it is a windows machine. Haven't tried it with Reefmaster, but it works with any program that I have tried so far.

Does not work............
As Reefmaster installer uses .Net frameworks,
Setup starts but you cannot accept license agreement to get the installation to finish.
Tried several times with Wineskin without success.
.NET is one thing that emulators have severe issues with.

Parallels 9 and windows 7 on the Apple MacBook Pro - reefmaster works vey well and it's ultra fast to create large projects , rotate in 3d etc. haven't found any disadvantages or bugs - so personally I'd rather the developers continued adding functionality to the software than have to spend time porting it to osx!

Virtualization is getting so good the makes little sense for a Windows SW shop to go the HUGE amount of work/training to retool.
.
Parallels 10 and OSX 10.10 on OLD 2008 MacBook w/ 8GB and it is very useable with large apps open in OS X and MSWin simultaneously. I do find when serious data crunching (I am still DrDepth but expect to change to RM) the memory use/swap-filing/etc gets muddled and a reset is in order, but closing down OS X Apps when doing big MSWin stuff is a good solution. When I get the next Mac I plan on 16GB memory.
This is the first lesson ye should learn: There is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, it doesn't behoove any of us to speak evil of the rest of us.

Agree this is the path i have taken and like Hermes would rather see the pc based product mature.
