Hello, I have problems importing sl3 files. They are displayed correctly, but the data at the level of the probe frequencies are not displayed anymore.
Is it possible to correct the problem?

Thank you very much in advance!

Hi,
I have received the files and confirm the same behaviour - no frequencies are shown. Which unit was this file recorded on, and which frequencies were you expecting to see?

Hello and thank you for your answer.
The device is HDS Live with software version 22.1
The transducer is an active image in 3in1
The frequencies 800khz and hight chirp for the 2d

Greetings

I use Simrad units and this information does not show in logs recorded from early 2017.

I have just "upgraded" to a Gen3 unit and noticed the same, frequency isn't present in the sl3 file (at least not in normal place in the sl3 file). Anyone knows if it simply is like that or if there is a way to find out a channels frequency?

The reason I want this info is that in both sl2 and almost always in sl3 I cannot rely on 200Hz being the primary channel, it can be 50Hz. And Reefmaster uses primary channel for hardness values so I have written a sl2/sl3-patcher that moves the 200Hz-data to primary channel if that isn't already the case. But without finding out frequency I cannot determine if channels are mixed up unless importing into Reefmaster and check if hardness values are off (which they are if looking at 50Hz data). To make matters worse sometimes primary channel switches from 200Hz to 50Hz in the same file...

BTW, anyone knows the logic for what channel HDS Gen3 unit sets as primary? Seems to be the channel I get if I only has one channel showed in the unit. But if I then have split sonar window and change what frequency I want to the left primary channels frequency changes as well...

Answering myself here... But I noticed InsightMapCreator can detect frequency in SL3-files (from what I can see correctly) so it must be stored in the SL3-file somewhere. I'll have a look and see if I find it.

Edit: Yes, it is still there but a few bytes earlier in the frame data.
