It seems slow and cumbersome to use the rectangular region select tool all the time, when I am trying to delete data points. I am wondering if there might be a way in the future to add a selection tool where the user could draw a circle or hand draw a loop around data points that they want to select.
Example, if I have two boat paths that are side by side, but at an angle SW to NE, and I want to delete one of those because the transducer lost bottom contact for some reason. It would be easier to delete the one boat path if I could draw a loop around the data points instead of being restricted to selecting rectangles.

Agreed - this would be a nice feature.

I second the request, I'd love this option aswell as if you can enable the feature for sidescan swath control for tracks editing too.
