Hi Matt,

I really like the new RM2. What would be a nice feature to add, though, is a cursor to show me where exactly an object visible in sidescan is in the regular sonar channel and on the map. Currently I need to drop a WP to get it on the map, but for 2D that's no help either. Sinde the 2D is tilted 90° to the sidescan for obvious reasons, it's often hard to figure out where a particular fish is in the 2D and in the SS.

Best,
Michael

Have you tried the mouse tracer feature? Switch it on (toggle in status bar) and you will get a cursor in all open map windows that shows the current mouse position. This doesn't work the other way - i.e. you won't get a cursor in the sonar view. The reason for this is that there is not necessarily a 1-1 mapping for map -> sonar view but this does work the other way.

Oh, that's already quite helpful. But it would be nice if it would work 2D>SS and SS>2D. Right now I always have to shift the sonar to the edge and see what corresponds to what.
