I´m an old user of dr depth. with this programm can i draw various lines to draw the intention on maybe an old river course or good fishingpoints(see attachment).

i think this is a very important feature and a must have...

Hi Heiko,
If you export your contours via a User Map then you can draw extra lines there, although without the raster background to draw on top of.
There is a major upgrade to user maps due for release towards the end of January, which will allow you to draw and style lines and polygons (for AT5 map generation) on top of filled vector depth areas.
Another interim solution would be to track features in Google Earth (export a map image with KML calibration file first). You could then convert this path to GPX (from KML), import to RM and add to a user map.

if you do not want to wait, you should read the manual of Insight Map Creator and you should have a look at QGIS (freeware).

Lines like fishing borders, restricted areas, but also pois like slipping ramps, restaurants ;) you can generate with QGIS, ad the needed values, store as shapefiles and generate with your shapefiles created with RM and with QGIS a very nice usermap.

thank you for the reference to QCIS. I have tested it, but the result is not so good. Maybe i have made misttakes...
My bound-folder is with the Data from QCIS 5x bigger than without the Data... for example 600MB / 100MB.

I think, it is better to wait for the update of RM.

I think, there is a big mistake ;)

You have to create your lines and your poi's as shapefiles, which means vector!

From Lake Chiemsee all shape files (bathymetric lines, shorelines, pois, marker lines etc.) are 499 kb!
