I would like to use Reefmaster as a "one stop shop" for my fishing maps and waypoints. At the moment I use another program for displaying my maps (at5 contours and custom paths) and managing my waypoints. However this program does not handle Waypoint Symbols and included data very well (even though it is from the same "family" as my sonar/gps unit).

I've resorted to using gpx files for transferring waypoint data. This means I have given up using specialised waypoint symbols.

I'm using a NSS evo2 SIMRAD and exporting waypoints creates a <desc> section in the gpx file if there is any text in the Waypoint notes. I have a lot of information about my waypoints in this section.

Is there a way that RM could import this info into the notes tab of the waypoint (or perhaps another tab)? If I am to use RM as a waypoint manager then you would need to export this information also. I'm not sure how this would impact other brands that import/export gpx files.

If this is possible I could then manage all my waypoints in RM.
