Hi,
I spend most of my spare time fishing in a big damm (hydro power plant). The waterlevel can differ as much as 12meters (406m altitude -> 418m). During spring the meltwater makes it raise up to 30cm/day. From weekend to weekend it can happen a lot.
The plan to get an accurate map of the lake is to create it for peak waterlevel (418m), an adjust logs when importing them.
The problem is that using it on any other waterlevel than peak (418m), it will show wrong depthvalues.
Of course i can make a map for all waterlevels between 406m -> 418m in steps of 1m, and then i will only be 0.5m off.
For exampel, waterlevel present day 412.3m, using map created for 412m will be 0.3m off (acceptable).
Or waterlevel 413.6m, use map created for 414m (0.4m off) and so on........
Easier would be to have waterlevel offset setting in the sonar/plotter and deduct the differens between peak waterlevel and waterlevel present day.
Unfortunately my Elite Ti 7 doesn´t have that feature :( but.......... it can use tide stations.......
So if i create my own tide stations in steps of -0.5m (would need 24 for this lake), and bundle these tide stations into the map.
This way i only need to make 1 map, and whatever the waterlevel is when i use the map it will only be maximum 0.25m off.
The tide stations created can also be used to other Projects when you need to adjust waterlevel offset.
My wish is to get the feature of bundling tide stations into the maps.
Do you think it´s possible?
