Hi guys,
I used the Deeper fiishfinder (buydeeper.com/) for mapping one of our fishing lakes.
It would be awesome, if reefmaster would support the deeper data files directly, because I had to do some steps to put the deeper data into reefmaster.

What I did:
I used the backup function of deeper (uploads files to google drive) and checked the data there. There are files named like unix time stamps and there format is sqlite. With an sqlite browser I checked the files and find the table Measurement. This Table includes _id, latitude, longitude, depth, frequency, weed and fish.

In my case, I exported the Table via CSV and imported the rows 2,3,4 into deeper. It would be awesome if reefmster could directly read the deeper data (sqlite file).

Here is a picture of my "Hardware" : www.klubbraunschweigerfischer.de/fileadm...20046_fde7596ae5.jpg
Here the final map: www.klubbraunschweigerfischer.de/fileadm...ad/VechelderSee2.png

Example data (the deeper export files): darkstoneathome.de/owncloud/s/BrqJzRjH6qTcQQP

Thanks for the example file (and sorry for the late reply). I'll take a look - it should be fairly easy to implement importing from that data source, so we will look at adding it. In the meantime, though, it sounds like exporting to CSV is a workable solution.

Hi Matt,
that sounds great - I would also be very happy to import data generated by deeper fish finder...

Thanks a lot

Michael

Hello guys,

I just bought a Deeper Pro+ myself and already made export and made a csv rdy to import it to Reefmaster.
So i have three columns for longitude, laptitude and depths.
I just got a Trial Version to see if I would buy it later on too...

But somehow I cant manage to import it, cause Reefmaster is always asking for the GPS assets apx files which i dont have? Shouldnt these informations be enough?

I clicked further but there are no datas on the world map, did i do smth wrong?
Do I still need to get the data into into some form? like coordinates with xx.xx.xxx? instead of xxxxxxxxxx?

Can you send your CSV file through to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so that we can take a look at it? If the data is there (lat, lon, depth), then it should be possible to import it somehow.

Nothing has arrived - could you please check that you have sent it to the correct address?

OK - the file has arrived. None of this data looks valid - how did you generate this file? The Deeper sqlite database contains latitude and longitude in WGS84 and depth in metres, and is quite simple to export using the FireFox SQLite Manager plugin.

The second file that you sent does have the required data. Just import the CSV file in ReefMaster, then select column positions: Latitude=5, Longitude=6, Depth=7 and make sure that Depth is set to "Positive metres", with Coordinates "Geographic, World, WGS1984" (this should be the default).

Does the CSV import window go "green" and say that data can be imported from the file? Does the import summary show a number of elements for the track? Do you end up with a track within ReefMaster or not?

It gets green and it say it can be imported, but after I click yes there I get a 2nd window (SELECT GPS ASSETS FOR IMPORT) and there i dont get any data :-(

so yes i dont get any track
i still have another table with locations and sonar infos, but i guess i cant use them here in any way right?
i did it all the way the manual told me, but the manual havent told me that there will be another windows with importing gps assets again?
