Yes John.

But in the DrDepth waypoint manager is the problem, that we cannot apply the options "icon only", "icon + text" and "text only (centered)" for all symbols or all selected symbols together. The same is renaming from groups of symbols. I belief, this is in RM also not possible and would be a wish.

Best wishes

Hi John,
I'll look into this. I know we have had requests for waypoints as POI's in the shapefile export, and I suspect that this is all that is required.
I'll have to investigate how the IMC handles them - I'm sure it will be possible, likely as a point within a shapefile, with text but no associated icon.

As Jorg says, you need to create a seperate shapefile to load into the IMC. Its very simply done in any GIS application, even more simple in GME because the attributes are already done for you.

T

EDIT You need to do 3 things. 1. save your DD waypoints as GPX

2. Convert them to shapefiles ( converter.mygeodata.eu/vector)

3. Edit the shapefile to change the NAME attribute to VALUE and put in the U_LEVEL etc...

its the last bit that poses the problem for anyone who doesnt run QGIS etc or GME.

Just buy GME ?

Hi Trevor,

Thanks again for your info.

My text is not that clear when I view it on the HDS, but on GME it is perfect.

Trevor,

better is for non-GME to merge own shape with sample shape files. It is the same step as in my manual for "simple AT5 with QGIS ... ", only with point shape instead area shape. QGIS also can load gpx, kml etc. and save as shape.

Matt i belief, that the font settings should be a range from 15 to 19 incl. "B", for wide range of point heirarchy.

John,

if you make the points into Navico General points (0x0700) they are in a larger font when converted to AT5

Jorg,

I think the ability to be able to use annotation in any combination of situations is important. With a seperate shp for annotation it could simply be loaded as a seperate shp into IMC, or made into a completely independent AT5 that is loaded at the same time as the charts on the HDS. That means that Insight Genesis etc can have a label / object overlay.

John an' all,

I've changed the skin and dat file to include a range of label types. You can see what they look like in the image below. They are all centred labels, and all available in the drop down menu in GME. I'll be uploading it shortly to my website, but they are here as well - just in case.

There are also some updates to the polygons to allow for 6 different shades of blue so that Matts RM polygons can be seen and edited in all their glory ( you need 6 ?!) I've changed the codes for the weed and structure - sorry but had to be done....its a simple job to change the object type in any maps that have been done. The AnglingCharts shades are still there under a different code.

There are also major and minor contours in different colours

and probably a few other things I've forgotten.

Trevor,

realy good.
Could You add the AT5 as attachment, so that the user can load this into unit and select the font size suitable for specific unit (depending on screen size)?

Thanks and best wishes
