It would be nice to have the option for distance units in Display Global settings to choose nautic miles / metres?

I was missing the same, but would suggest nautical miles / cables as nautical miles and meters aren't related. But there is a difference in International and US cables. Maybe better option is nautical miles only and less than will be decimal nautical miles.

Somehow in this part of the world, we are using that option in the way I suggested. We usually have kilometers and meters everywhere but on the sea. For large distances on the sea we use nautical miles and for small meters. That is an option I do have on my HDS :)

Once I had same discussion with Raymarine, as they are using Nm/feet. I'm used to Nm/decimal miles (.1 is one cable) in my previous profession as Master Marnier.
Is more that meter/feet aren't related to one Nautical Mile.

I agree, that in case of object measurement, decimal miles are confusing. And then you suggestion is best solution Nm/meters
