Hi,
Tried Sonar Log viewer, under Windows 7 inside Virtual Box. But got error trying to load track:

DxDiag says DirectX11 installed, no problem.
Tried ReefMaster, it shows log in sonar view without problem at the same environment.
Thinking about ReefMaster purchasing, but afraid if new sonar view engine will be used in ReefMaster in future versions.

Unfortunately I believe that Virtual Box only offers true hardware support for DirectX 9, whereas the SV requires 10.1 or later. VB also "reports" that DX10/11 hardware support is available, when it isn't - hence the crash.
Future versions of ReefMaster will use the Sonar Viewer graphics engine, although of course there would be no obligation to upgrade to that version.

3 main virtualization engines: VirtualBox, VMWare Fusion, Parallels Desktop checked. All 3 reports about DirectX 10 or higher support. But Viewer doesn't work in all of them. So the only choice for Mac owners, at least for now, is BootCamp.
Maybe this test would be useful for somebody else.

On my W10 pro 64bit host /8Gb ram with virtual box and W10 Ent 32bit client it is not working, DxDiag tells me directX is 10.00.10586 but with hyper-V and W10 Ent 32bit client 2Gb-4Gb dynamic memory it is working without any problem.

The Sonar Viewer requires DX10.1 hardware support - looks like you are only reporting 10.0. Getting the correct installed version can be a particular issue on virtual machines, which can result in a crash instead of an informative error message if the returned version appears compatible.
I'm not sure what version of DX virtual box can support?

DxDiag reports (Vbox 5.0.16, W7 32-bit client) that DirectX 11 installed. But if we check driver:
Driver Name: VBoxDispD3D.dll
Driver File Version: 5.00.0014.5127 (English)
Driver Version: 5.0.14.0
DDI Version: 9Ex
Driver Model: WDDM 1.0
So DirectX 9 only.
The same - 9Ex - for Win10.
