I'm trying to make a shoreline using Google Earth Pro. Some how, I created one last week though I stumbled onto it pushing this button and that. I need to re-do that map but can't find the tool bar that would allow me to trace the shore. Everything I try only gets me another folder over on the right and nothing but a little hand icon for a mouse pointer. Help please


... I swear to god, and please don't take offense... As talented as some of the computer programmers of this world are I think they get great pleasure out of the fact that nobody can figure out how to use their creations.

I don't know if this will be a lot of help. but you can (just about) see the process involved in making a polygon in GE in this video.

What you want is a Polygon - start a new one by clicking on the icon in the toolbar:



Just make sure to click "OK" at the end, in the accompanying window that opens when you start drawing the polygon - otherwise you can lose the lot, and there is no "undo" in GE!!

Thanks fella's. I found, after a Google search, that once you create or chose or open a path, the box that pop's up has to remain up, or 'open', to be able to "trace" the shoreline and Islands. To bad Google Earth doesn't have a "How To"!
