Hi i'm trying to edit a shore line in the Define Map View, but after restarting ReefMaster, all changes are gone.

What am i doing wrong?

The new shore is also used, if i generate new contours, but it's not saved.
The shore is imported from a gpx file, just if that is relevant.

Hi Pat,
I've had a look at this and I managed to reproduce the problem once, but not again. There's a bug in there and it'll take a bit more to get it fixed.
From what I have seen, I don't think your shoreline will be editable once this bug has shown itself, as the id's for the boundary positions are not set correctly in the db. Sorry but you'll have to reimport that one and try again. I will make sure we have a fix in the next release.

Just to be sure you don't lose edits next time, you could add that boundary on its own to a user map and export as a gpx/kml so that you have a backup.

cheers,
Matt

i confirm partially.
I have created (not imported) a shoreline in RM.
exit the Program, start it again,
edit the Shoreline, exit the Program,
start it and cant see my changes.
i can edit as much as i want, can see the new area 2D and 3D View,
but it wont be saved.

Hi Matt,

i allready have this shore as a User Map and added it by exporting as gxp and reimport as Bondary. Didn't know a other way when i made it. ;)
I'll try to import it again.

Hi Pat,
I have found and fixed this bug. The fix will be included in the next release, which should be in about a week or so.

It's a nasty bug, in which the boundary points are not assigned the correct DB id's when they are read from the DB. This means that changes are not saved, but only if the workspace has been closed and loaded since the boundary was created. If you do your edits at the time you add or create the boundary, then these will be saved. This is the only workaround for now. If you close a workspace and reopen it, and then edit the boundary, these changes won't be saved.

cheers,
Matt
