Hi,

Last year, I successfully generated a map for my lake from an old administrative map before the dam was built. This map shows the river bed, roads, etc.
I used a georeferenced bitmap background and exported it in AT5 format with IMC.

I recently went back to ReefMaster and discover some great new features about importing GPX tracks or even drawing them directly in RM.
I can directly draw my roads and river bed in RM from my bitmap background.
I also imported my sonar logs.
I reduced opacity of the map so I can see both the generated isobaths and my bitmap background.

This is what I get in my Map View :



Unfortunatly once the map is exported, the background is not visible on my HDS 8 Gen 1 unit.
I tried exporting from my User Map, from the Project View using a Preset or not but with the same result.

Did I miss something or is it impossible to achieve with automated IMC processing ?

PS : additionnaly, I've detected some bugs in the custom tracks features, where can I track them ?

You can'r export the custom raster background from RM, but you can export the vector overlay and combine that with a raster that you process yourself in the IMC. Export a User Map with your semi-transparent depth areas and line features, and use the generated at5.cml and large.at5 files along with the generated raster files (in folder Shaded Relief).

Oh ok, I understand.
But it would be a nice feature to allow custom backgrounds as there are custom paths and polygons :)

If you want one single map with background and your sea-data (polygons and depth lines), you can use all your desired depth data exported as shapefiles and process it together with a 'Open Street Map' file in the *.pbf format.

Your idea to use custom background (rastermap) behind your translucent RM vectormap is possible, but you have to generate your background rastermap and your translucent vectormap in two separate steps and put both to your SD. The advantage of this way is, that you can change the maps you want to use just by selecting on your Lowrance HDS unit.
