AnglingCharts Offline	This MAY work..... power up your HDS and go into the simulator files configuration. Set the xtf file as the source. Now run the simulator - go to structurescan and hit "record all channels". You should have an sl2 when its finished. Your depth data should already be in an slg file created alongside the xtf. T

Anglingaddicts Offline	Ill give that a go, i tried to do that earlier but couldnt get it working - But then i had a 2 yr old around my ankles at the time!! Ill have another play once he is in bed see if i can get it working. Is that the only way to "Convert" it?

AnglingCharts Offline	I'm a Lowrance mapping partner so have access to the HDS emulators. They aren't available in the wild unfortunately ! T

AnglingCharts Offline	Annoying. I've done this on my (real) HDS1 with no problems at all - what model are you using ? It may be that Navico have closed this particular avenue of pleasure...... T

Anglingaddicts Offline	Its a HDS 7 Gen2 Touch.... The file that is created upto that point doesnt even work - guessing it doesnt get saved correctly when it restarts. I get this error if i try to load it into RM Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index

Anglingaddicts Offline	Aaaaah i think that sorted it!! Didnt realise you could turn off the demo bit and just simulate - Still getting used to the unit!! .... seems to be working now (its got alot further than before anyway - still going, theres about 20 mins of log to get through) Fingers crossed!!! Thanks very much for your help!!!!

AnglingCharts Offline	"Simulate" can be used so that you can sit in the boat and go through logs without having to stick the card in a computer and get all geeky. The only thing missing is fast forward / pause etc.... hope it works for you. T
