Is it possible to view a track on top of a previously created map image?

I would like to review a sonarlog and next to it the track with the depth map as background.

There's no easy way to do it at the moment. You can see the track preview in the global view, over the top of a project raster (if the project has already been generated). One option is to export the image of the project and re-import that as a background image into RM. This way you can see the project behind the define map view, and edit track-points there. At the moment the track window itself doesn't support background images but that will change in the next release.
