I've had the opportunity to look at the output from a Garmin SideVu unit. I've no idea how it was set up on the boat. Once the RDS file as been fed into Homeport the option to export in the usual formats exists.
As of yet I've not found any depth data contained in any of the exports (csv, txt, gdb, gpx ), only position.
I was wondering if anyone else has found this, and was pondering quite what Garmin's plans might be in removing the depth data from the exports.
The sidescan swath is not available for analysis either, just replaying.
It certainly makes the new Garmin units pretty useless for anything except simply looking at.
Or maybe I'm missing something ?
