I downloaded a file from my HDS Live and Merged with another file. I then updated the new file and added routes and updated waypoint names. Then I downloaded to at first my existing SD card, then to a new SD card. I erased all my waypoints, routes and trails on the Lowrance unit then uploaded from the sd card. I begins by showing importing then at about 60% it starts showing Merging. Then when complete it shows the correct number of waypoints and routes, but nothing is on the unit. At first I thought it was because I had saved the files from reefmaster in Ver 4 instead of the Ver 6 that my HDS is at. So I saved the file again in Ver 6, still same outcome. I even tried version 5, but still same results. I hope someone can help.

Hi Scott,
I would suggest first making a backup of all of your waypoints somewhere and keeping that safe, before then deleting all waypoints, trails and routes from your device followed by a purge. Once that is done, try reloading the file and let please let me know how you get on.

Thanks Matt, you are absolutely correct. I did make a backup before starting everything. Was a computer programmer at one time, so I keep a way to go back. I figured out my problem was I deleted the files but wasn't purging them, so it was merging into the deleted file. I appreciate your quick response. Hope this can help someone else.
