I am a longtime user of Reefmaster and have found it excellent. Recently I have been having problems with the date and time when importing the data from a Humminbird Helix 9 sonar. I have two of these and the problem is coming from both sonars.

When I import the .DAT file the date and time are all messed up. I have attached a picture showing a series of 4 recordings all done in sequence on 2022-08-23. The dates come in ranging from 1909-04-23 to 2035-05-02 and none of the times make any sense. I know I can edit the date and time, but it is difficult to know the exact second when the recording starts.



I have restarted the computer and checked for updates to see if this is the problem. Any thoughts?

Timestamps are OK on import dialog box, and are incorrect in assets list.

I have not found a solution to this problem. It is still occurring. I write down the correct information and then correct the time with an R script, but it is not a simple fix.

Hi Jim and Andrzej could you please send an example of a file with this issue (.DAT file and the associated .SON files). Also it would be useful to know the correct start time (as accurately as possible) and I will look into it. What is the solution as I have the same issue too?

There's already a club of people here who have the same problem. It seems to be a system error in the software. I have it too. And I still haven't figured out how to solve it.
