I think I have just responded to you via email (please check), but I will copy it here also:
Could you please confirm which version of ReefMaster you are running. You can do this via the “About” window under the FILE menu. If you are not on 2.2.57 then please update (you can simply download and install from here, which will function the same way as an update:
reefmastersoftware.blob.core.windows.net...efMaster2.2.57.0.exe). I think this problem will go away with the latest version but if not, please let me know and I can look into it further.
The general setup with HB sonar log files is that a very small .DAT file sits above the main sonar log files (.SON) which are held in the folder of the same name as the .DAT file (minus the .DAT extension). We don’t actually take any information from the .DAT file, so as long as your .SON files are in good shape it should be possible to come up with a workaround to import the data if required.
Note that you should always copy the .DAT and associated sub folder over to a local hard drive before importing into ReefMaster, as RM references those files every time the sonar viewer is opened.
