Can anyone tell me if reefmaster supports the 83 khz channel in Lowrance SL2 logs? Obviously most of my data collection is done with the smaller cone of the 200 khz channel but there are areas of my survey which are up to 250m depth which is out of reach on that channel.
I am not yet on site so unable to simply test at this point.

Sorry I forgot to mention , I am using the Lowrance HST - WSBL transducer - 83 khz/200 khz with a Lowrance HDS Gen 3 unit . This unit has a 600w power rating I believe.

The Airmar ( I am assuming the producers of this transducer) documentation suggests an upper depth limit of 200m using 200khz and 83khz should be used for greater depths up to 300m.

Yes, should be fine so long as your unit is registering depth - we'll use these values when generating the map. You should also be able to see both channels in the sonar viewer.

HDS Gen 3 is capable of 1000W RMS, but HST-WSBL is only 300W. A HST-DFSBL would be much better for your use and tracks bottom well in much deeper water than 250 meters.
