I'm looking at a new laptop for an upcoming mapping project. The question is , will RMV2 work with windows 11? Or is that something you are looking at releasing with RMv3 next year?

This was a question I have also. Does anyone know if the current version of Reefmaster functions as it should in Windows 11?

This is not something we have tested yet. It *should* be fine, as application compatibility from W10 to 11 is supposed to be very good. We'll be looking at it very soon.

Guys, I inadvertently upgraded to windows 11. Reefmaster does run fine in 11.

Hello, I have a new LapTop. An HP Pavilion with Windows 11. After opening Reef Master and selecting a sonar log file ( Hummingbird ). Loading starts. However at the end where I should get the sonar window my screen turns black. The LapTop is not repsponding any more. I have to power it off and restart the PC.

Is this a compatability issue? Or might there be an other cause?

I have been able to view the sonar log on an other LapTop with an older version of Windows.
Also tried to run it as administrator and in compatibility mode without any succes.

I changed to Windows 11 over 6 months ago and have processed several projects with Reefmaster and haven't had any problems. Most if not all those jobs were started in previous versions of Windows and have continued without issue.

I am using the Reef Master Sonar viewer. We have Humminbird sonars so I want to view Himminbird sonar files.

I agree that it is more likley it is an hardware graphics compatiblity issue.

If there are suggestions on how I can solve this issue they are very welcom. I just bought a new LapTop because the old one is not working any more. Now I am not able to use the sonar viewer any more to view our sonar recordings after a search. Which is a pitty.

Today I did a test with the trail version of ReefMaster. No issues. I was able to load the Hummingbird files. Program did not crash. I could view the sonar files without any problems. I did not matter if I turned the hardware grapihcs acceleration on or off.

With the Sonar Viewer I still have problems and can not view the sonar files.

My Laptop uses AMD Radeon graphics what seems to cause this issue. From what I understand from other topics on this forum. I hope this info helps to find the reason why Sonar Viewer is not working.

I’m running Windows 11 Home on a new laptop. I’ve downloaded and installed the waypoint manager but am receiving the attached message when I try to open the program. Anyone have ideas on how to get this working for me?
