Hi Fjordfisher, no, not using raster (yet). Only transparency on layers like you can set up in Reefmaster. As I understand it also works on areas and are defined in the "IMG_RENDER" attribute. If you look in the xml file you will see that there is an alpha value there that corresponds to the value set in "IMG_RENDER".

XML is for vector over raster (if i correct remember). If you only have a HDS and vector at5, the XML is not required.

Additional: AT5v13 no more use the XML file. Please ask for the beta group in the tacklefever forum and you can use a newer IMC Version for AT5v13 (and more additional functions)

Only the At5.xml in the root is used.

The At5.xml is only used to specify drawing behavior over raster. The IMG_RENDER is used to specify this.

Transparency, as a color, is specified in the RGBA colors (take precedence over the indexed colors when they can be used).

I'm not sure which you are looking to implement but, like I said before, I would suggest using Atlas Version 13 if you're planning on using the IMG_RENDER field.

Hi gpiverson, this clears things up for me. I'im looking for transparency on color (area over area). Seems then I have to use RGBA colors, not at5 colors as I have used now. This whole mapproject I'm working on is a big trial and error effort, thanks for being patient with me and helping me out! :)

Now for the next big question, anyone who knows if it is possible to combine at5-maps from Reefmaster/IMC with the maps from Insight Genesis/Social maps? I cannot seem to display them together even if I change the name of the Insight Genesis maps. If I have "Insight" chosen as map source on my NSS my own maps are shown, all combined in the same wiev, but the Insight Genesis maps are loaded as a separate map source with the name of the water area they are representing. I can chose "Insight" map source and then chose "Insight Layer" in my chart options on the NSS but then the Insight Genesis maps are shown on top of my maps even though my map areas have the "layer" attriybute value set to 1...

Yes, you must give your own chart the same name as the C-Map/IG. You can read the name, if you load the chart.
Go to "atlas description" in the IMC and set "M=<the C-Map/IG name>", then process your own files, rename it eg "xxx_large.AT5" and place both AT5 sets together on the SD-Card

sample IG-Name/C-Map: 1234 black lake => M=1234 black lake

Attention sometimes there are spaces at the beginning of the name!
