Hi,

The National Land Survey of Finland has an open WMTS Service with topographic maps in the Web Mercator projection. The GetCapabilities of the service can be found from avoin-karttakuva.maanmittauslaitos.fi/av...WMTSCapabilities.xml. Could it be possible to add this service into the list of background map providers?
The administrator has disabled public write access.

I have some good news for you; in the next update you will be able to configure any WMTS/HTTP background map source, so long as the projection is Web Mercator.
I tested the source that you provided, and it works well:
