Having generated a map it is often necessary to edit the data and remove any bad points which are distorting the map. This would be a whole lot easier if I could see my map in the background behind the track data. That way I could see exactly where the bad points were. Does any one know if this is possible or is there a work around? It would also make it easier to add spot depths to fill in any holes in the map. Help please.

There isn't a built-in way to do this, but what you can do is export your map project in MBTiles format and add that back to the workspace as an image. You can then set the image to show in the tracks and boundaries view by selecting it from the Background Images drop-down in the View menu (do this when the tracks and boundaries view is active).
