Hi Barnabas. Unfortunately I'cant help You with Solix, but I've some questions about Your Helix5. It's 1G or G2? You just exported map as Humminbird files-
.ht from RM2? There is another way to create map to H5 from RM2?
Could You show some screenshot from Helix5 map with lower zoom?
Since past 3 years I tried to create functionally maps to HB Helix with RM and I fall with this. Nothing, only multicolor isobaths on my Helix. At last I'm used Lakemaster Autochart & Zero Lines Card
Best regards.

We haven't yet got a SOLIX for testing, but it does sound as if they might have changed the formatting for track/contour display. At this stage I can't promise that we will be able to get this working, because we don't even know if the ability to "split" individual contours still exists.
Could you please contact me via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so we can talk about it further/discuss ways of testing this?

Hi'
I'have Helix 5 Si G1 and G2 sonar.
I make Map for Helix Si 5 Sonar from RM2. This map is track. I give color to track. It is not so beautiful, but good for navigation and fishing.
In Reefmaster make i .dat and hw. file. Copy hw. file to SD card.

On my new HB Solix is this map is not good.

Only ZeroLines SD card can save You Barnabas. If Your Solix has AutochartLive feature- You can generate usable maps on Zero Lines Cars and use it on Helix 5 gps unit. If your unit hasn't Autochart Live, then You should to use records to create map via Lakemaster Autochart software. Helix/Solix units with Autochart Live needs Zero Lines to create maps - above 8 hours logging-data in HB unit are overwriting, without ZL card You lost Your data and time. Of course You can record data additionally, on second typical SD card. Then You need Lakemaster Autochart software and export data to Zero Lines Card. This is better, You not wasting time on water.
There is no another way at this time to create usable maps on HB units.
Check my screenshot, fitrst generation of Helix is very poor as GPS chartplotter, Gen2 is better. Onix/solix has many depth- colours, maps looks better.
AT5 maps and Lowrance is best look on the market......

Hi'Matt

I have good news!
The Solix Sonar likes gpx navigation data. ..

I've save my hand maps in GPX format (Humminbird),
it's perfect for display. (On Solix is it only 6 color for Track coloring)
:-)

BUT: I'can Unfortunately, only 1 file could be loaded into the Solix device and by the other GPX file writted "Incorrect date".

--- The Solix write to SD card and uploaded XMS file_text have changed. See pictures.
????
I do not know why it can not be uploaded more GPX file. ...
If you have any idea how to upload the data to Solix, please help!

BEst regards
Barnabas

Sounds promising. Could you please send some examples of GPX files saved by the SOLIX, and also files that do and don't import so that I can take a look? What determines the colour of display on the SOLIX? Perhaps this is something we can encode during export.

The polygons are connected by lines on MapView of SOLIX and . . .
Track-end-points connected erroneously is because of track-segmentation not being supported somewhere in the process. Reefmaster has supported track segments, so some other editing program or Solix unit itself.

Yes this is a problem.
BUT: Once I has been loaded a correct map, but the Solix system does not seem to be stable. Unfortunately, we have not been able to repeat it since then.

The Humminbird PC's & Reefmaster's files on SD cards could only 1x upload to the SOLIX device. After that the file is unusable. (!?) You have to copy it back to the SD card and upload a new.

I noticed that the SOLIX device is trying to write to SD card, but it does not work well. I’m see file structure Errors on SD card, if I put it in my windows computer after Solix Operation. It is a bad file system and the card needs to be repaired.(+?!)
I use KINGSTON 64GB microSD (8) memory card and ScandDisk 32GB micro SDHC (10) memory cards.

- I do not understand why I can not save HumminbirdPC route and waypoints for SOLIX in the right format? Why does the SOLIX device not download the menu and group subgroup structure from the original GPX file?
- Solix can not open accented fonts (é,öüűÁ) and space characters in the file names.
- It happened many times that I could not save the waypoints and tracks to the SD card, just the Menu system. (I waited for about 10 minutes.)

Was it a problem like someone else?

You mentioned that you are trying to use a KINGSTON 64GB microSD card.

The Humminbird SOLIX units specify that the max supported SD card is 32GB. The reason for this, is because Humminbird units rely on what is called "FAT32" file system format. SD cards that are 64GB+ are typically "exFAT" formatted, and are incompatible.

That isn't to say you can't format a 64GB SD card to be FAT32, but this can't natively be done in Windows, and requires specialized software.

I'm wondering if everything would work if you used 32 GB cards only? Just an idea.

Hi' HBSolixDude

- Yes, the memory card was one of the main problems .
!!! But You can download a new Solix software from January 2018 and fix many map problems.
- The speed of image processing has also improved.
- The new world map is very detailed and accurate in Europe as well. Although there is no depth level at the lakes.
- There is no change in the color choice of the colors and the tracking and the waypointing of the system has not improved (no multiple selection and copying or deletion).
So the Reefmaster maps are difficult to see.
!!! However, Reefmaster does not make attention to the fact that HUMMINBIRD devices have only 2500 points per tracks, so Solix has been frozen several times. For example, approx. I tried to upload a contour map with 3500 points. :-) :-(
- At 160 points the screen is bouncing back and forth.
- Autochart Live is still writing data irregularly. I can't set the position of sonar transducer in Solix ...!
It's great that they by Humminbird are listening to the feedback! I hope they will still improve softwares.

Best Regards
Barnabás

If this is true on SOLIX then this a new restriction, as the old limit was just over 20k points. We do limit individual track/contour exports for Humminbird to this value. I'm surprised that HB would actually reduce this value, but it sounds like there are quite a few differences with the SOLIX OS and we should probably acquire one for testing.
