Put the image on a memorycard, put the memorycard in the unit. Go to the Files-menu, choose memorycard end highlight the image-file. You can now save it as background or show it fullscreen like in my image above.

It works on HDS Gen 3, HDS Carbon and Elite Ti as well as a few Simrad-models.
