It's to do with the recorded depth being shallower than the bottom, and unfortunately this effect can be somewhat exaggerated because of the way SRC expands pixels near the recorded depth to cover a wide area. We do have something in the pipeline that will help these issues (automatic depth detection), but that is still quite a way off.

I am having the same problem and its getting frustrating.

It's something happening to me too.
And in a very frequent way. I think because the area I'm logging has many depth variations.

So, what should be a workaround we should use meanwhile you at RM develop your software solution?
