Hi guys,
I've looked over and over the forum and searched, but cannot find anything that gives a basic rundown of how to setup your sounder.
I'm sure its here and I've had a 'boy look' as my wife would remind me, but any able to point me to where?
I'm thinking about things like frequency (I assume on a 83/200, that the latter is better), mode, ping rate, what size microSD card, transect spacing versus depth, etc...

Unfortunately it is in German, maybe you can use it in combination with Google translate...

There are lots of guides out there. But there is no universal setting, as it would depend on the sonar and ducer used as well as conditions and what the user is trying to achive. (And at what level, ie what the user sees as "good enough".)

But if you state what you are using, at what depths, we can point you in the right direction with some basic settings.

Some helpful pointers to get me started.

No specifics as yet, re depths, planned mapping sites, etc. I'm still collecting all the required gear and lining up a few test locations.
I'll check back once I know where I'll be heading.
