In the Help file it says this
To add just a part of track to a sidescan mosaic, open the required track for editing and place the track edit window into sidescan mode. Examine the sidescan swath to locate a region of interest, right-click the swath edge and choose the Add to Mosaic menu option. The selected range will be added to the chosen mosaic:

I don't get the add to Mosaic option???

Make sure that the mouse pointer is over the sidescan image before right-clicking, otherwise you will get the "screen level" context menu, and not the menu for the selected segment. When the mouse pointer is over the sonar, the edges are shown in blue.

Hi Matt, I am clicking right in the middle of image. Heck I've tried clicking in all parts of the screen.

I am not seeing the edges change to blue when the point is over the image?

That's odd John. Do you see the segment highlighting in a sidescan mosaic (not track) window? Not seen or heard of this behaviour before.

In the mosaic window if I click on the segment name in the side panel I can see the segment get highlighted.

But not if you put the mouse over the segment in the map view?

yep, that is correct. I see no change when I hover over the image

OK thanks, very interesting. In the mean time, all I can suggest is adding the entire track to a mosaic and editing it there - select in list, edit start/stop with the bar at the bottom the window and split the segment, deleting the bits you don't want.
