1. The + and - keys are used for zooming the map, the arrow keys pan the map.
2. Yes, you can trace features from an image easily in a map project. The easiest way to do this is to export your sidescan mosaic image in the MBTiles format and reimport this into ReefMaster as a background image (when exporting in MBTiles format, there is a checkbox that allows you to automatically reimport the image). Once you have the sidescan as a background image within RM, add it to your map project as an image layer - one easy way to do this is to drag the image from from the asset list (left of main window) into the map view of a project. With the image layer visible in your project, you can create a new polyline or polygon layer and add polyline or polygon components as required. These can then be exported with the map in the HB track format.
