Hi all!
Pretty exited to discover ReefMaster features, but i'm facing problem when i use my data (tracks).

I've got several csv files with "date, hour, x, y, z, depth" like this (extract) :

Dates, hours and X, Y, Z comes from a gps outputing this frames, and depth from a sonar.

When i try to import them in ReefMaster, the window "Import Options" only accept this data when i select "Projected" -> "UtmWgs1984", so i choose the option "WGS1984UTMZone30N" wich correspond to the zone were my data were recorded (on bassin d'arcachon, near Bordeaux in France).
Importation seems ok, but when i display it on the map, all points are shown somewere offshore on the west spannish coast, pretty disapointing...

So, i have tried to convert some XYZ cartesian points into geodetic (lon, lat) points, and import them in ReefMaster
(by choosing "Geographic" -> "World" -> "WGS1984" in the Import Options window) and they appears in the rigth location!

I have feeling that it's a wrong import config but i'm very new to GPS coordinates, and ReefMaster, and i don't really know what's wrong. I have tried several things but i can't get points on the rigth place, and i'm starting to be out of ideas...

Any help will be appreciated !

You need to find out exactly what projection your source tracks are in, and then make sure that you select the correct one in ReefMaster during import - also make sure the column ordering is correct for lat lon! Yes i'm already focus on finding what projection my tracks are, but i can't find many informations on the GPS i use ( RTK gps: Emlid Reach)
All i've found is "XYZ coordinates output", i will ask the Emlid developer team for more precision.

Strange thing is when i put some points on (several) coordinates converter(s) and get the lat lon coord, ReefMaster show it on the right place.

Question: why ReefMaster import option window only ask for two column (named latitude and longitude), but my XYZ coords depends on 3 variables, x, y, z ...?

Which coordinate converters are you using? Can you provide a link?

GPS constructor team just told me that XYZ coord are ECEF, wich projected option match it?

This Cartesian coordinate system is not support by us (and not that widely used in general). You are going to have to record your data in another system - I would suggest WGS84, which will require no further conversion on import. I also use an Emlid Reach system, and you can produce WGS84 output. You will have to convert any data you have already recorded.

I choosed XYZ format because someone working on the same project ask me XYZ data, but i understand now that he was thinking about XY in Lambert93 (Europe)
Anyway, it should be ok if i configure the Reach to output NMEA data, wich i think is in WGS84?

Concerning data i've already recorded, can you recommend a software to convert lots of XYZ points into WGS84?

Edit: I've found a soft to convert my data, now they are plotted in the rigth place, great !!

Just a little issue remainning, when i generate map (for 3d view for example) the range of depth scale is strange: "179769 Depth in meters -179769"
and no map generated. My depths data vary from 20 to 100 (only integers)
I import tracks with the option "centimeter" for depth, but when i choose "meters", all is done rigth, my scale is "20 Depth in meters 100" and the 3d map is correctly generated, BUT the 3d depth drawing don't represent the reality...

Have you already seen that issue?
