Hi!
When opening SL2-files with Structurescan sidescan data in RM2, the option "Use Headings" is dimmed out, even though the files contains heading data..
The heading data is active in the Sonar Viewer, so RM seems to recognize it.

It works fine with SL3-data.

I have a HDSgen3 with a Point-1 heading/GPS-sensor.

Any idea on what is going on?

That's a bit strange and doesn't look right. Any chance you could share the file (via a filesharing service to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. )?
If you re-import the file into RM2, is the behaviour any different?

Edit: One possibility is that you don't have hardware graphics support, which is required for headings corrections. Is this the case? Did you get a warning the first time you started RM2?

I've sent an email with a link to one of the SL2-files.
It seems to be the same for all my SL2-files (took some random samples from the last two years and checked).
And all the SL3-files works. In those the "use heading" button is activated, so perhaps not a graphics issue?

No warning about graphics issues first time I started RM2.
I use DirectX12 in Win10 64-bit and Nvidia GTX970 with latest drivers, 378.78.

Thanks Foxes. It looks like there may be an issue in recent unit firmware that is not recording headings to the SS channel (we have also seen some other examples of this now). We are working on a fix to get around this by using headings from other channels (if available). This hasn't been required in the past, but this workaround should solve it.
