After I installed the test version, I could not create a new workspace. Then I tried the latest official version again but also the situation was the same. Note I can open all workspace (rmdb file) which had been stored in the computer. Moreover I run the RM on windows7 under parallels desktop on a mac.
Is there any way to recover? Hiroshi

Could you please cut and paste the full path of your workspace disk location, and send to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
We are aware of a bug, that will be fixed in a maintenance release in the next couple of days, whereby paths that contain the character ' can not be handled by the database code. It is also possible that something similar is happening with other non-ascii characters. You can test whether this is the problem by trying to create a workspace using a very simple path - eg c:\test\testworkspace. Please let me know if the problem is resolved when trying this test.

Yes, that's the case. I can solve it using a simple path.
Actually I used a path of "¥¥TERA-XHL1¥share¥project¥" on a network hard disk drive.
Maybe "¥¥" was the problem. I also used some Japanese characters for a path on my computer but it was not a problem.

That's interesting - so no ' characters?
I'll see if I can reproduce the problem here and get a fix into the upcoming maintenance release - there shouldn't be an issue with network paths.

I have looked into this some more, and it turns out that there is a problem with UNC network paths, as a result of a recent change to the sqlite db that we use. A fix for this will be in next weeks release, but in the mean time you must either use local workspace files, or a mapped drive letter for your network path. You can do this by navigating to your network path in Windows explorer, right-click Map network drive..., and assigning a drive letter. You must then access the workspace in terms of this drive (not a UNC network path of the form "\\...").
